Using a tailored urban drainage aware precipitation<\/em> <em>forecasts, a probability based&nbsp;flood warning can be issued .<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-easy-color-ai-2-color has-text-color has-link-color has-large-font-size wp-elements-f15ad938ed2c434ec6fe4e54b6a371f7\"><strong>Extreme weather in urban environment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This application develops an innovative, on-demand urban flash flood warning system that combines Earth Observation data from novel satellites on clouds information with high-resolution ensemble weather forecasts. By detecting lightning and convective events in real time, the system triggers a tailored post-processing workflow to generate probabilistic, drainage-aware flood warnings and impact scenarios.
