Federated data space<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

CLEAR-EO builds a federated data space <\/strong>that provides scalable data governance component for the project to be fully integrated with <\/strong>the internal and external resources in terms of data<\/strong>, applications<\/strong>, computational resources <\/strong>and European data ecosystems<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Data Space, is designed to implement a central governance of federated<\/strong> and harmonized resources<\/strong>.  The objective is to provide the applications <\/strong>developed within the project with unified access to data<\/strong>, avoiding duplication and redundancies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CLEAR-EO infrastructure is distributed<\/strong> and heterogeneous<\/strong>, combining cloud, HPC, and on-premise\/private facilities, while remaining sovereign<\/strong> by relying exclusively on EU cloud providers. It delivers both compute power<\/strong> for analysis pipelines and storage<\/strong> for temporary data and results, and hosts the development version of CLEAR-EO services as a stepping stone toward full operationalization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Geo-spatial notification system<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The CLEAR-EO Virtual Observatory is a digital platform for application triggering and orchestration<\/strong>, bridging diverse data sources with real-world applications. It runs innovative processing chains \u2014 covering phenomena such as rainfall and drought \u2014 brokers geo-fenced notifications<\/strong> of relevant events, and triggers downstream applications<\/strong> on demand. The goal is to deliver timely, actionable alerts<\/strong> to both developers and end users, ultimately supporting faster and better-informed decision-making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AVISO is the geo-spatial notification system<\/strong> at the heart of the CLEAR-EO Virtual Observatory. It notifies users when relevant events occur, orchestrates downstream modelling, and will be extended to support geo-localized event alerts. The system follows a producer\u2013consumer model: producers post notifications specifying the event type and the affected geographic area, while consumers subscribe to event categories within regions of interest and can integrate the client either as a library or a standalone process capable of scheduling further workflows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
